I started this painting process by taking the news from one news paper for that day and taking the major news stories and inserting them into the painting as silhouettes. It may at first hand look like a relaxed day in the park. On closer observation you will see refugees, USA and China, soldiers leaving, soldiers returning, world leaders, jokers and clowns and anonymous. The bright light source is not what it first seems. There is a narrative running through this painting which continues into 2020. There are other elements to the painting although I leave this to the viewer to decipher.
